How a check-in works
Five minutes, one real scan, narrated by one of the founders. You'll see the phone plugged in, the results come back, a disguised app get named for what it is, and what changed since the last check-in.
What you'll see
- The scan. A regular USB cable, no app installed on your child's phone, nothing running in the background. The first time, a short one-time setup for iPhone or Android.
- The results. Every app on the phone listed by what it really is. An app that looks like a calculator on the home screen shows up as the vault it actually is.
- Your call. Mute a flag you've looked at and are fine with. Flag something we didn't. Every flagged app links to a plain-language guide.
- What changed. Each scan remembers the last one, so you can see what was added or removed since your last check-in, including an app that was deleted and quietly reinstalled.
Device Nanny doesn't read messages, doesn't track location, and doesn't upload anything about your child. Everything stays on your own computer.
